How calls are answered

• Depending on your settings, calls to your Arcscribe number ring your phone first, or are answered straight away by an AI assistant.
• The AI assistant tells every caller that it is an AI assistant and that the call is transcribed. It never pretends to be a person.
• It takes the caller's details and their enquiry, answers common questions you have approved, and can book appointments into your calendar. It does not give prices you have not approved, and it does not promise bookings, outcomes or revenue.
• It tells callers to hang up and call 999 for anything dangerous to life.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for your own privacy notice to your customers, explaining that calls may be answered by an AI assistant and transcribed.
• You must check bookings and messages and respond to your customers yourself.

Limits

• The AI assistant can make mistakes. It is not a substitute for a person where a person is needed.
• Free trials have limits on AI minutes and texts. When a limit is reached, calls ring through or get your automatic text instead.
